Defending the time of day...

So I have been hanging out in Beijing now for awhile. Just hanging out. You know, it's been really great.
Time to move on.
No really this time.
I picked up my passport from the Embassy of the Union of Myanmar yesterday so it's official. Well, semi official as I don't have a ticket yet, but no worries- tickets are cheaper the more last minute.
So hopefully I will get paid for my contract with the Embassy on Monday and then fly to Southern China Wed morning. (This way I still get to go to the pub quiz at John Bull pub on Tues nite!) Not sure what I will do around Kunming- just know that I can get a flight to Mandalay from there. Will post from Kunming.

As for Myanmar (Burma). Not really sure what to expect. I know I can't get onto the internet so you will all have to wait til end of Dec to get another posting. Or hear from me for that matter. I also can not make calls out of the country- well I can but they are ridiculously expensive! So this is what I am expecting.. a month completely devoted to myself, with no distractions at all. A month like I have never experienced and probably will never experience again.

Take care- have a great time xmas shopping and I will post at the end of December...
Thanks so much for reading!

Thanks for your note. Can't wait to read your blog in more detail, but tonight my goal is try to post more pics from my bro's trip. Off to Burma, huh? Good luck...MSF has missions there, and I'll go if I get posted; would LOVE to go, but really torn about anything that might support that ridiculous excuse for a government. If you wanna get in touch, drop a note @ paulbrockmann@gmail.com, we can keep in touch mebbe. Ciao and bon voyage.
